Tangy lemon chicken

Ingredients

  • 1 bag SFC breaded chicken (Dewfresh)
  • 1/3 cup lemon juice
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 tbsp. corn flour
  • Drop yellow colouring
  • Zest of ½ lemon
  • Cook white rice for serving
  • Toasted sesame seeds and sliced spring onions to decorate

Method

Place the chicken on a baking sheet, drizzle lightly with oil and bake in the oven at 200°C for approx. 10-15 minutes. Meanwhile, prepare the lemon sauce by placing the lemon juice, sugar and water into a sauce pan, bring to the boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove off the heat and stir in a drop of yellow colour and lemon zest. To serve, pour the sauce over the baked chicken and serve decorated with sesame seeds and sliced spring onions.

Method

Poġġi t-tiġieġ fuq trej, xerred ftit żejt u aħmi fil-forn f’200°C għal madwar 10-15-il minuta. Sadanittant, ipprepara z-zalza tal-lumi billi tpoġġi l-meraq tal-lumi, iz-zokkor u l-ilma ġo kazzola, ħallih jagħli u ħalliha ttektek għal 5 minuti. Neħħi minn fuq in-nar u ħawwad qatra ta’ kulur isfar u qoxra tal-lumi. Biex isservi, ferra’ z-zalza fuq it-tiġieġ moħmi u servi mżejjen biż-żerriegħa tal-ġulġlien u l-basal aħdar imqatta’.
