Strawberry and yogurt mousse

Ingredients

  • 3 gelatin leaves
  • 200g Strawberries hulled and pureed
  • 400ml Greek yogurt
  • Zest and Juice 1 lemon
  • 2 tbsp. caster sugar
  • 2 tbsp. orange liqueur
  • 400 g whipping cream, whipped to soft peaks (Gran Cucina)
  • 2 egg whites, stiffly whipped
  • You will also need extra strawberries and chocolate strands to decorate

Method

Soak the gelatin leaves in cold water until soft. In a separate bowl whisk together the yogurt and the strawberry puree. Warm up the lemon juice, add in the gelatin leaves and sugar and dissolve. Fold the gelatin mixture quickly into the yogurt mixture. Next, stir in the orange liqueur, whipped cream and whipped egg whites. Pour the mixture into serving glasses and allow to et in the fridge for 1-2 hours before decorating the tops with extra strawberries and chocolate strands.

  • 200g frawli mqaxxra u mnaddfa u frawli żejjed biex iżżejjen
  • qoxra u meraq ta’ lumija
  • 3 weraq tal-ġelatina
  • 400ml jogurt Grieg
  • 2 imgħaref likur tal-larinġ
  • 400g krema mħabbta
  • 2 imgħaref zokkor fin
  • 2 abjad tal-bajd

Method

Xarrab il-weraq tal-ġelatina f’ilma kiesaħ sakemm jirtabu. Fi skutella separata ħabbat flimkien il-jogurt u l-purée tal-frawli. Saħħan il-meraq tal-lumi, żid mal-weraq tal-ġelatina u z-zokkor u ħoll. Żid it-taħlita tal-ġelatina malajr fit-taħlita tal-jogurt. Wara, ħawwad il-likur tal-larinġ, il-krema mħabbta u l-abjad tal-bajd. Ferra’ t-taħlita f’tazzi biex isservi u ħallihom fil-fridge għal 1-2 sigħat qabel ma żżejjen l-uċuħ bil-frawli żejda u l-biċċiet taċ-ċikkulata.
