Helwa tat-Tork ice-cream

Ingredients

  • 300g Helwa tat-tork (Camel Brand)
  • 1 x 400g  tin condensed milk
  • 1 ltr fresh cream, chilled
  • 100g candied peel

Method

Crumble the ħelwa tat-tork into a medium sized bowl and mix in the condensed milk, making sure that there are no lumps. Whip up the chilled fresh cream to soft peaks. Add 3 tbsp. of the whipped cream to the ħelwa mixture and well, making the mixture softer. Gently fold the ħelwa mixture into the remaining whipped cream and place into a plastic container. Freeze for an hour before adding in the candied peel, then freeze again for at least 4 hours before it is ready to serve.

  • bott ħalib ikkondensat
  • Litru krema friska kiesħa
  • 100g konfettura

Method

Farrak il-ħelwa tat-tork ġo skutella u ħawwad magħha l-ħalib ikkondensat, waqt li taċċerta ruħek li ma jkunx hemm ċapep. Ħabbat il-krema friska mkessħa sakemm ikollok soft peaks. Żid 3 imgħaref tal-krema mtellgħa mat-taħlita tal-ħelwa tat-tork u ħawwad sewwa sakemm tagħmel it-taħlita aktar ratba. Żid it-taħlita tal-ħelwa tat-tork bil-mod fil-krema mtellgħa li jifdal u poġġiha f’kontenitur tal-plastik. Iffriża għal siegħa qabel ma żżid il-konfettura, imbagħad erġa’ ffriżaha għal mill-inqas 4 sigħat qabel ma tkun lesta biex isservi.
