Puff pastry chocolate straws

Ingredients

2 sheets ready-rolled puff pastry
2 jars chocolate and hazelnut spread (Novi Crema)
1 egg, beaten (Coccodi)
2 tbsp caster sugar
1 tbsp icing sugar to dust

Method

Unroll your defrosted puff pastry sheets and spread 1 with the chocolate spread. Place the second sheet of pastry on top and stick together firmly. Brush the top with the beaten egg and sprinkle with the caster sugar. Press in using the rolling pin and cut the pastry into strips. Roll up tightly and place onto a baking tray lined with non-stick paper. Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden and crispy. Serve dusted with icing sugar and extra chocolate spread on the side.
