Halloumi fries with sesame seeds, pomegranate molasses and yogurt sauce

Ingredients
- 2 blocks halloumi cheese (Fior di Vita)
- Oil for frying
- 2 tbsp. honey
- 1 tbsp. white sesame seeds
- Pinch salt
- 250g Greek yogurt
- 1 tsp harissa
- 1 tbsp. pomegranate molasses
- 2 tbsp. fresh pomegranate kernels
- Fresh mint leaves for serving
Method
Mix the yogurt and harissa together in a bowl and put aside. Cut the halloumi into chunky fries, pat dry from any excess water using kitchen paper and fry in hot oil till golden brown. Transfer to a plate, drizzle with the honey and coat with the sesame seeds. Transfer onto a serving plate, drizzle with molasses, pomegranate kernels and fresh mint leaves. Serve the yogurt sauce on the side.

Qatta’ l-halloumi fi strixxi f’forma ta’ chips ħoxnin, nixxef minn kwalunkwe ilma żejjed u aqli f’żejt jaħraq sakemm jieħdu kulur kannella dehbi. Ittrasferixxi għall-platt, xerred l-għasel fuqhom u iksi biż-żrieragħ tal-ġulġlien. Ittrasferixxi fuq platt biex isservi, xerred bil-molasses, żerriegħa tar-rummien u weraq frisk tan-nagħniegħ. Servi z-zalza tal-jogurt fuq il-ġenb.
