Braised pork cheeks with port wine and honey
Serves:
Ingredients
- 6 pork cheeks
- 100ml port
- 50ml honey
- 1 onion
- 1 whole clove garlic
- 2 celery stalks
- 2 carrots
- 2 bay leaves
- 300ml vegetable stock
Method
Start by chopping the onions, garlic, celery and carrots and shallow fry for 3 minutes, gradually add the port wine and simmer for 5minutes. Meanwhile glaze the pork cheeks with honey and place them in an oven tray together with the onions, garlic celery and carrots, pour the vegetable stock and bay leaf. Braise for 40 minutes at 150`c.
