Snickers cake
Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 200g caster sugar
- 150g butter
- 200g dark chocolate
- 150g plain flour
- ½ tsp baking powder
- 125g mixed hazelnuts and peanuts
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- You will also need toffee, peanuts and chocolate spread to decorate
Method
Prepare the eggs and sugar in a whisking bowl and whisk to stiff peaks. In a bain-marie pot melt the butter and the dark chocolate till it becomes like a chocolate sauce. Mix the both mixtures together but at this stage use a spatula spoon so you keep the air in the mixture. Add the flour, baking powder, vanilla, and the mixed nuts and continue mixing till all the ingredients will incorporate. Heat the oven at a temp of 150`c and cook for approximately 1 hour- 1 hour 15 minutes, depending on the thickness of the cake . Cool down and remove the ring, cover the top with toffee, peanuts, and chocolate spread.
