Ingredients
Cake
- 100g flour (Lamb brand)
- 25g dark cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 4 eggs (Le Naturelle)
- 150g caster sugar (Lamb brand)
- 1 spoon vegetable oil
- 2 spoons milk powder (Regilait)
- 2 spoons Greek yogurt
- 1 teaspoon red vinegar
- 1 spoon Red food colouring
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Frosting
- 225g cream cheese
- 60g butter (Valio)
- 50g icing sugar (Lamb brand)
- Vanilla essence

Method
Red velvet cake:
Sift together the flour, cocoa, baking powder and the salt. Whisk together the eggs, sugar, vegetable oil, & milk powder. Whisk in the yogurt, vinegar, vanilla & food colouring. Fold in the flour mixture into a batter. Spread mixture onto a rectangular oven cookie tray lined with baking paper. Bake at 175°C for approx. 10 minutes.
Cream cheese frosting:
Beat all the frosting ingredients together.
