Indian spiced chicken

Ingredients
- 8 chicken pieces (thighs or breast)
- 2 tbsp Tandoori paste (PATAKS)
- 3 tbsp natural yogurt
- 1 x 500g jar Tikka masala cooking sauce (PATAKS)
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 150ml water
- 2 tbsp chopped coriander
- You will also need naan bread and basmati rice for serving
Method
Start by marinating the chicken pieces by mixing the Tandoori paste, 1 tablespoon natural yogurt and 1 tablespoon of oil together in a large bowl. Add in the chicken pieces and rub the paste all over. Cover and leave to marinate in the fridge for 2 hours or overnight for a more intense flavour. When you are ready to cook the chicken, heat the remaining oil in a large pan and add the marinated chicken pieces. Brown all over on a very high heat and then add in the water and cooking sauce. Mix well, put the lid on the pan, and turn down the heat. Gently cook the chicken for about 20 minutes, or till the chicken is soft and tender. Just befor serving, add in the chopped coriander and the remaining 2 tablespoons of yogurt. Mix well, and serve the Tandoori chicken with naan bread and basmati rice.

Għattihom u ħallihom fil-friġġ għal sagħtejn jew għal-lejl biex jieħdu togħma aktar qawwija. Meta tkun se ssajjar it-tiġieġ, saħħan iż-żejt li jkun fadal f’taġen kbir u itfa’ l-biċċiet tat-tiġieġ fih. Sajjarhom fuq nar għoli ħafna sakemm jiħmaru, imbagħad żid l-ilma u z-zalza. Ħawwad tajjeb, għattihom u baxxi n-nar. Ħalli t-tiġieġ itektek għal 20 minuta jew sakemm isir tari. Qabel tkun se sservi, żid il-kosbor imqatta’ u ż-2 mgħaref jogurt li jkun fadal. Ħawwad tajjeb u servi t-tiġieġ bil-ħobż naan u r-ross basmati.
