Chocolate and nut clusters

Ingredients

  • 150g milk or dark chocolate
  • 100g almonds
  • 100g walnuts
  • 100g hazelnuts
  • 100g sultanas
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 50g flour
  • Pinch cinnamon
  • Pinch ground cloves
  • 1 tot slightly dry Marsala

Method

Soak the sultanas in Marsala over night. Heat oven to 150°c. Line a 3cm deep, 8cm x 25cm bar pan or a 20cm spring form pan with baking paper. Place the soaked fruit and soaking liquid in a bowl with the walnuts and cinnamon. Sift the flour over top. Place sugar, honey in a pan over low heat until butter melts, then add to dry ingredients, stirring well. Pour into prepared pan and flatten with a spatula. Place in oven and bake for 20 minutes, then remove and cool slightly. Melt the chocolate and add the nut mixture into the melted chocolate.
