Spaghetti with broccoli and calamari creamed sauce

Ingredients

  • 200g spaghetti
  • 2 medium calamari
  • 1 red chilli
  • 150g fresh broccoli
  • 2 knobs garlic butter (President)
  • 150ml fresh cream (Benna)
  • 2 tbsp crushed walnuts
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • 1 small leek

Method

Melt the butter and on low heat and sauté the chopped leeks and chilly until softened. Meanwhile shred the broccoli finely and slice the calamari, increase the heat to highest possible and before browning add the broccoli and calamari. Toss on high heat and before browning add the pasta al dente and keep tossing. Pour in the cream and basil than simmer until sauce is thickened. Finish with seasoning, basil and walnuts.

  • ftit butir tat-tewm
  • 150ml krema friska
  • 2 mgħaref ġewż imfarrak
  • weraq tal-ħabaq frisk
  • kurrat żgħir
