Seared tuna on an onion glazed baguette with a herb salad

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 2 pieces tuna 4cm x 2cm x 9cm long
  • 1 baguette (Golden harvest)
  • 2 onions
  • 20g salted butter
  • 8 anchovies
  • Small bunch mint
  • Small bunch coriander
  • Mixed salad leaves
  • Chives
  • 100ml olive oil

 

Method

Grill the Tuna until ¼ cooked from all sides and remove on a tray, Cut the baguette lengthwise and 9cm long and grill it on same grill from both sides. Slice the onions and on the same grill cook the onions in butter, place the onions on the baguette add the anchovies on cut in half and bake for a few minutes. In a bowl mix the salad leaves and some on the herbs, add the rest of the herbs to the olive oil and blend well, season and serve on the salad.
