Potato, cabbage and bacon pie

Ingredients

  • 750g boiled potatoes
  • 200g cabbage, sliced
  • 2 slices bacon, chopped
  • 75g Cheddar cheese
  • Grated nutmeg
  • Salt and pepper

Method

Season the boiled potatoes with salt, pepper and nutmeg to taste and beat in the butter. In a pan, fry the cabbage and bacon together till cooked then add to the potato mixture. Spread the mixture in a shallow ovenproof dish, top with the cheese and bake in oven at 180`c for 10 minutes, or until the top starts to brown.
