Creamy pork and mushroom filo pie

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil (Borges)
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 large pork fillet, chopped
  • 1 tbsp chopped thyme and rosemary
  • 300-400g mixed mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 packet mushroom soup (Knorr)
  • 400-500ml cold ,milk (Benna)
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley
  • 3 sheets filo pastry
  • 2 tbsp melted butter (President)
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • You will also need cooked vegetables for serving

Method

Start this recipe by softening the onion and garlic in the oil for 3 minutes. Add in the pork fillet pieces and pan fry just for 2 minutes. Add in the sliced mushrooms and rosemary and cook for 2 minutes. Add the contents of the mushroom soup to the pan and mix well. Add in the water and continue mixing over the heat until the mixture thickens. Stir in the chopped parsley, transfer the mixture to an oven dish and even out. Scrunch up the filo sheets and place on top of the filling. Brush lightly with the melted butter, sprinkle over the sesame seeds and bake at 200`c for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
