Hot and sour pickled prawns

Serves: 4

Ingredients

  • 24 tiger prawns, peeled and de-veined (tails on)
  • 1/2 red pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 150ml olive oil
  • 55ml white wine vinegar
  • Juice of 2 limes
  • 1 tbsp Worchester sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp English mustard
  • Fresh seasoning
  • Lime slices & chopped coriander for serving

Method

Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl and place in the fridge for 48 hours to marinate. Serve the hot and sour prawns with lime slices and chopped coriander.

Ingredients

  • 24 gamblu (tiger prawns) imqaxxra u mingħajr vina (bid-denb)
  • 1/2 bżaru isfar imqatta’ rqiq
  • 1 basla żgħira mqattgħa rqiq
  • 2 sinniet tewm imqattgħa
  • 150ml żejt taż-żebbuġa
  • 55ml ħall tal-inbid abjad
  • il-meraq ta’ 2 limes
  • 1 mgħarfa zalza tal-Worchester
  • 1 kuċċarina zokkor
  • 1/2 kuċċarina mustarda Ingliża
  • ħwawar friski
  • biċċiet tal-lime u kożbor imqatta’ biex isservi
