Yogurt and apricot cereal bars

Ingredients

  • 200g white chocolate
  • 100g vanilla yogurt
  • 100g chopped apricots
  • 50g flaked almonds
  • 200g crunchy cereal
  • Zest of an orange

Method

Start this recipe by lining a 20cm square cake tin with greaseproof paper, making sure that you also line the sides. Next, chop the white chocolate into small pieces and put in a saucepan with the vanilla yogurt. Heat gently, stirring constantly, till the chocolate has melted. Put the remaining ingredients in a large bowl and pour over the melted chocolate and yogurt mixture. Mix well till all the cereal is coated in the melted chocolate and the mixture is binded together. Pour the mixture into the prepared cake tin and spread out. Leave to set for an hour or until the white chocolate has hardened. When the mixture is ready, gently turn out on to a chopping board and remove the greaseproof paper. Using a large sharp knife, cut into rectangular slices, 10cm x 3cm in size. The yogurt and apricot cereal bars will keep for at least a week.

Iksi landa kwadra ta’ 20ċm b’karta forn. Importanti li tiksiha wkoll mill-ġnub. Imbagħad qatta’ ċ-ċikkulata f’biċċiet żgħar u poġġihom f’kazzola mal-jogurt tal-vanilla. Saħħanhom fuq nar baxx u ħawwad sakemm iċ-ċikkulata ddub. Itfa’ l-ingredjenti l-oħra fi skutella kbira u magħhom itfa’ t-taħlita taċ-ċikkulata u l-jogurt. Ħawwad sakemm il-biċċiet taċ-ċereali jinksew biċ-ċikkulata u t-taħlita tagħqad. Ifrex it-taħlita fil-landa li tkun lestejt. Ħalliha toqgħod għal siegħa jew sakemm iċ-ċikkulata tibbies. Meta t-taħlita tkun għaqdet, aqlagħha mil-landa u neħħi l-karta forn. B’sikkina tajba, qattagħha f’biċċiet tawwalin, 10ċm bi 3ċm. Il-biċċiet taċ-ċereali bil-jogurt u l-berquq jibqgħu tajbin għal tal-anqas ġimgħa.
