Ravioli Lasagne

Ingredients

  • 100g Maltese sausage, skin removed
  • 200g minced beef
  • 400g tin tomato pulp
  • 20g dried onion flakes
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • Salt and Pepper
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 400g frozen spinach and ricotta ravioli (Maypole)
  • 200g ricotta (Benna)
  • 1 egg
  • 200g fresh spinach
  • 200g shredded mozzarella
  • 100g grated Parmesan

Method

Combine the sausage and minced beef and fry in 1 tbsp. olive oil. Add the tomato pulp, dried onion, basil, season to taste with salt and pepper and cook for 5 minutes. When ready, spoon a layer of the beef sauce into the bake of an oven dish and top with ½ frozen ravioli. Beat the egg with the ricotta and season to taste. Cover the ravioli with half this mixture, then with a layer of spinach leaves. Make another layer of sauce, ravioli, the remaining sauce, Parmesan cheese and mozzarella. Finish off with freshly ground pepper and bake in a preheated oven at 200°c for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese melts and it’s bubbly hot.

  • 200g mozzarella mqattgħa
  • 200g spinaċi frisk
  • żejt taż-żebbuġa
  • melħ u bżar
  • ħabaq niexef
  • 100g parmiġġjan maħkuk
  • 400g ravjul tal-ispinaċi u l-irkotta ffriżat

Method

Ħawwad flimkien  iz-zalzett u l-ikkapuljat u aqli f’mgħarfa żejt taż-żebbuġa. Żid il-polpa tat-tadam, il-basal imnixxef, il-ħabaq, il-melħ u l-bżar u sajjar għal 5 minuti. Meta tkun lest, poġġi saff zalza taċ-ċanga fid-dixx tal-forn u mbagħad għattih b’nofs ir-ravjul iffriżat. Ħabbat il-bajda bl-irkotta u ħawwar. Għatti r-ravjul b’nofs din it-taħlita tal-irkotta, imbagħad b’saff ta’ weraq tal-ispinaċi. Agħmel saff ieħor ta’ zalza, ravjul, il-bqija taz-zalza, ġobon parmiġġjan u mozzarella. Spiċċa bil-bżar mitħun frisk u aħmi ġo forn imsaħħan minn qabel f’temperatura ta’ 200°c għal 20-25 minuta jew sakemm il-ġobon idub u jkun jaħraq ħafna.
