Orange and chocolate New Years cake

Ingredients

  • 270ml double cream (Elmlea)
  • 300g dark chocolate (Novi)
  • Zest 1 orange
  • 100g unsalted butter (Valio)
  • 1 shot liqueur
  • 1 packet marie biscuit, broken into pieces (McVities)
  • 2 packets jaffa cakes, broken into pieces (McVities)
  • 100g walnut halves (Lamb brand)
  • 1 packet chocolate macaroons (Strand Palace Agency)
  • Extra melted chocolate for decorating

Method

Start by melting together the chocolate, cream, liqueur and butter. In a large bowl, add in the 2 types of biscuits and walnut halves and pour over the chocolate sauce. Mix together well and pour into a lined cake tin. Allow to set in the fridge for 2-3 hours before removing from the tin and decorating with extra melted chocolate and macaroons.
