Ingredients
- 1 packet morning coffee biscuits (Mc Vities)
- 1 packet digestive biscuits (Mc Vities)
- 1 tin condensed milk
- Grated zest of an orange
- 100g glace cherries
- 100g candied peel
- 200g mixed walnuts, almonds and hazelnuts
- 100g chocolate chips
- 2 Tots red vermouth
- 400garzi marzipan (Silver spoon)
- Extra melted chocolate for decorating
- Few chocolate shavings
- Icing sugar for dusting (Silver spoon)
Method
Put the biscuits in a large bowl and crush into small pieces. Next, mix in the orange zest, glace cherries, candied peel, mixed nuts and chocolate chips. Bind together with the condensed milk and Vermouth into a stiff mixture. Transfer the mixture onto a sheet of greaseproof paper dusted with icing sugar. Roll into a log shape and let stand for a couple of hours in the fridge to set. Remove from the paper and cover with the marzipan. Brush with the chocolate very roughly to obtain a log surface effect. Decorate with chocolate shavings & dust lightly with icing sugar.
