Chocolate inbuljuta

Ingredients

  • 350g dried chestnuts
  • 150g sugar
  • 50g cocoa powder
  • zest of an orange
  • zest of a mandarin
  • 1tsp mixed spice
  • 1tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground cloves
  • 700ml water
  • 200g milk chocolate, chopped (Novi)
  • 1tsp corn flour

Method

Soak the dried chestnuts in water overnight and discard the liquid. Place into a saucepan with all the remaining ingredients except the chocolate and corn flour. Mix well and bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to a gentle simmer and cook for 1 hour. Combine corn flour with 1 teaspoon of water and add to the pan along with the chopped chocolate and stir constantly until the mixture is thick and creamy.

  • 50g trab tal-kawkaw
  • qoxra ta’ larinġa
  • qoxra ta’ mandolina
  • kuċċarina ħwawar imħallta
  • kuċċarina kannella
  • nofs kuċċarina msiemer tal-qronfol
  • 700ml ilma
  • 200g ċikkulata tal-ħalib
  • kuċċarina corn flour

Method

Il-lejl ta’qabel xarrab il-qastan fl-ilma u wara armi l-likwidu. L-għada, biex tibda, poġġi ġo kazzola il-qastan imxarrab mal-ingredjenti kollha li jifdal ħlief iċ-ċikkulata u l-corn flour. Ħawwad sewwa u ħallih jagħli, imbagħad naqqas in-nar u ħallih itektek għal madwar siegħa. Għaqqad il-corn flour ma’ kuċċarina ilma u żid fit-taġen flimkien maċ-ċikkulata mfarrka u ħawwad kontinwament sakemm it-taħlita tkun ħoxna u kremuża.
