Cheese stuffed sliders with red cabbage and apple slaw

Ingredients

For the sliders

500g Pork mince
150g Grated applewood cheese
1 Small onion, grated
2 Gloves garlic, grated
1 tsp Dried oregano
Salt and pepper to taste
3 tbsp Caramelized onion chutney (Mackays)
2 tbsp Garlic mayonnaise (Hellmanns)
2 Tomatoes, sliced
2 tbsp Tomato ketchup (Hellmanns)
12 Mini burger buns

For the slaw

½ Red cabbage, sliced
1 Green apple, cored and diced
½ Onion, grated
Salt and pepper to taste
2-3 tbsp Garlic mayonnaise (Hellmanns)
1 tbsp Dijon mustard (Maille)

Method

Start this recipe with the sliders. Mix together the beef mince, grated cheese, onion, garlic, oregano and season well with salt and pepper. Form into patties the size of your mini burger buns. You can either BBQ grill or pan fry with a little oil. Meanwhile, in a large bowl mix together the garlic mayo, mustard and season with a little salt and pepper. Mix in the red cabbage, green apple and onion. Place into the fridge to chill. To put the sliders together, split the buns and spread over a little mayonnaise. Top with the patties, a little caramelized onion chutney, slices of tomato, ketchup and place on the bun top. Serve 3 sliders on each plate with a bowl of the slaw on the side.
