Quick Spiced apple, pear and cranberry crumble

Ingredients

  • 1 packet ready prepared sweet pastry
  • 2 red apples
  • 2 pears
  • 150g dried cranberries (Good Earth)
  • 200g soft brown sugar
  • 1 orange
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 tsp mixed ground nutmeg, cinnamon & cloves
  • 2 tbsp corn flour
For the crumble
  • 250g dried oats flakes
  • 150g soft brown
  • 150g butter (President)
  • 150g plain flour

Method

Roll the sweet pastry and line a greased oven proof pie dish. Peel the pears and apples, core and slice, put in a mixing bowl, add the lemon and orange zest and juice, sugar, spices and corn flour. Pour in the pie crust. In a separate bowl, mix together the crumble ingredients until crumbly. Sprinkle over to coat the fruit mixture. Bake in a moderate oven temperature 175 ⁰c for approximately 35 minutes.

  • 2 mgħaref cornflour

Għall-crumble

  • 250 g ħafur
  • 150g kannella artab
  • 150g butir
  • 150g dqiq plain
