Fried Maltese gbejna with cranberry, honey and sesame dressing
Serves:
Ingredients
- 2 white gbejniet
- 1 beaten egg
- 2 tbsp flour
- Breadcrumbs
- Sesame seeds
For the dressing
- 50ml cranberry sauce
- 40ml honey
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- Dash of sesame oil
Method
Cut the gbejniet lengthwise, pass through flour, than egg, flour, egg and breadcrumbs mixed with sesame seeds. Let to rest. Shallow fry the gbeniet and in the meantime, mix all the ingredients for the dressing, season to taste. Serve warm on a fresh salad.
